Zee TV’s Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile is all set to witness a dramatic twist as it is revealed that the morphed pictures used to blackmail Raghav (Bharat Ahlawwat) were created by none other than Keerti (Gouri Agarwal). While Keerti initially entered the story as a completely positive character, her journey has taken a sharp turn, showcasing how circumstances and emotional betrayal can push a person into morally grey territory. Such a transition from pure positivity to obsession is rarely explored on television, making Keerti’s arc more gripping.
Gouri Agarwal, who essays the role, is particularly excited about portraying this intense character shift. Gouri shares, “I can’t say I relate to her, but I do understand where Keerti is coming from. Keerti was promised marriage and many other things, and on the most important day of her life, the wedding day, she was left all alone while the groom, Raghav, married someone else. Keerti’s character was initially filled with positivity; it is the situation that has turned her into an obsessive lover.”
Talking about her inspiration for portraying an obsessive lover on screen, Gouri admits that strong, complex female characters have always fascinated her. She adds, “I have heard a lot about female characters being obsessive lovers, but the one who impressed me the most was Priyanka Chopra’s character Sonia in Aitraaz. I always wanted to play such a character. Of course, My character isn’t driven by overt glamour like Sonia; Keerti’s appeal lies in her emotional depth and understated confidence, but I am a huge fan of Priyanka’s style of speaking and the way she enacted the role in Aitraaz. It is on my bucket list to play a character like Sonia. As I said, Keerti is not like Sonia, but I am glad I got the opportunity to explore a few shades of it.”
Hinting at explosive drama ahead, Gouri reveals that Keerti’s obsession will push her to extreme limits in the coming episodes. Gouri said, “Keerti is going to cross many boundaries to have Raghav back in her life. She will be doing things that will shock viewers.”
As Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile moves forward, Keerti’s unpredictable actions and emotional intensity promise to keep audiences on the edge of their seats, with Gouri Agarwal delivering a powerful performance that explores the darker, more complex shades of love on television.
